ok, i'm officially bored right now. nothing much to do... except to study. I've finished reading Holy Fools, now, I'm back on reading the damn law books. I went ot Rex Book Store today to get my copy of the Law On Public Officers, but, I didn't realize that most places in sleepless Manila were still closed.

The only thing I hate about christmas is the leftovers that you have to eat for the whole week... then come new year's eve, you do the same ritual again. But hey, it only comes once a year. So better enjoy the fattening!

This year... instead of spending my christmas money on clothes and other stuff... I'd be saving them for books. There indeed comes a time in one's life, even when you're not working, that you value money so much... and the spendthrift in one's self just dies a natural death.

There is something inherently wrong with mixing technology with religious rituals. The mass I attended on Christmas eve was pathetic. First, they used powerpoint presentations for every damn song and response, as if the whole of the mass goers are IGNORANT. Second, the person operating the fucking projector is not a 'smooth operator', ergo, you get dizzy with the unpredictable changing of the AV from videofeed from inside to the church, to powerpoint and word presentations. I was praying the damn projector would burn.
True, as my dad said, the mass of old days was far better. Unnecessary use of technology for church rituals should be prohibited, or better yet, criminalized.

This is the dilemma that all students (well, most of us) face. We enjoy the first few weeks of the vacation, but after a few days, we get restless and feel absurdly useless. But this is not the case during Christmas break... we LOVE being useless, but we are forced to study and prep up a at least a week before school starts. I'm just reading my books caused i'm forced to do so, else, i'd be cramming them all on the eve that class resumes.

Oh well... c'est la vie.
