eventful day
the things that i do for fun. just to recap...
got up early and went with my dad and ninang to medderm Asia (or something like that) in wilson street greenhills to get some laser treatment for the removal of some unwanted and undesirable entities in my skin. the doctor, Nancy Tan was kinda nice, she's somewhat stereotypical Vicky Belo doctor of somesort. The damn laser treatment cost 2,000 bucks, plus some injections, plus this and that, which cost me (well, actually my dad paid for it) 3,070 pesos. my dad was wondering why she secretary didn't issue any receipt. duh! she's a doctor. it's a privilege of doctors and lawyers not to issue receipts... or so the legend goes. hahaha!
we then headed and had lunch at popeye's in galleria, then we snooped around some gear store (my dad is the outdoorsman type) i went to athlete's foot and snooped around the latest spikes. there's a nice one from puma, orange and black color combination, soft ground spikes. my tita was looking around manel's for some sandals. then i chanced upon a nice pair of maphisto black leather shoes. nice ones for school. it was only 1,195, and with a 15% discount. so, dad paid for it. but my ninang said she'd handle it. so i ended up with a solutio indebiti... nobody would take back their respective moneys. i ended up having the shoes and another 1,000 bucks. hahaha! this was my day!
we returned to my dad's office, hung around for a while, then suddenly this meticulously curious kid asks me about animals... as in puro "BAKET? BAKET? BAKET?" this smart allick thought i worked there. well, obviously it seems like that, since i was hanging around the director's lobby. i shooed him off nicely after answer too many pointless "Bakets" which might end up in a metaphysical discussion of the Thomistic philosophy of prime mover, prime object etc.
I had a change of clothes and had to run to ust to meet up with my bestfriend joyce and derik. we heard mass while the rain was pouring wildly for more than an hour. we we're planning some nice dinner but alas, dapitan was flooded once more. so we we're stuck at jollibee.
tim was already calling me on the phone cause we we're suppose to meet up at BK quezon ave, coz we also have an engagement with friends from college. damn! the traffic was horrendous from espana going to edsa. so we had to debark the cab at joyce's street, then me and derik took a walk from maceda st to the rotunda. well, actually, i did need to take a leak too, hehehe. the nice thing was we had a longer chance to talk about things. we parted at the rotunda, then i went to BK all sweaty, cussing at the distance that i've walked. tim was already bored to death.
by the time we got to nagtahanan it was raining again like wild. and upon arriving at greenbelt, every slot was full, so we had to transfer to 6750... that weird labyrinth of sorts. we had to go to mercury to get tim some drugs for his ass kicking headache or what not. when we got to recipes, they've already finished eating... rhea lao, carmi, leanne, tessa, cenon and her new boyfriend (?) andrew. i've enjoyed the chatting, the noise making and everything blahblah. it's been a long, long time since i've seen most of them.
after that, another foodtrip. had dessert at Bizu in greenbelt 2. i had a Nirvana mousse and french macaroons (which were absolutely orgasmic!) :P after waiting for almost an eternity for cen to return, we went to ice and had just one bottle of beer to cap the night. the trip home was smooth, probably took me a little over 30 minutes.
so, that was my delightfully busy day doing alot of personal business and seeing old friends. nice way to cap the month of may. at least i've seen alot before the return to hell school.
