parting time...
I was already in my van and on my way home when Kaye sent me an SMS saying that we were to meet at Starbucks Podium with Lou and Sunny. So I told my driver of the change of plans and turned towards España, then Timog, then Edsa to Ortigas. Upon arrival, I had some Iced Mocha Valencia, before we could decide where to have our dinner.
Since the two (Sunny and Lou) were still somewhere along the known universe between Malabon and Edsa. We decided to meet halfway to a place where most restaurants where still open… In Timog and Tomas Morato. It was already around 10:30 in the evening.
So we picked them up at Starbucks Timog Ave and went around cruising along Morato. We had dinner at Gerry’s Grill and feasted on Sinigang na Baboy, Inihaw na manok (yata) beef casserole and a green mango ensalada which I dare not tasted. (I don’t eat unripe mangoes.) Previously before arriving, I called THE Erik and asked him whether he could drop by. Around 12 midnight after dinner, he showed up with Ron and two other friends. We stayed on for a little longer for chats and laughs.
After THE Erik left, we also went on our way and cruised around a little bit, not decided what to do next. So finally, we ended up doing what we do usually.
As we were not expert drink mixers, our combination of EL HOMBRE Tequila and Lime with ICE, and subsequently Tang Orange Juice was superbly pathetic. But who cares… we drank it as if we’ve tasted something even worse.
And not long before that… MAGIC happened.
Closing Time.
A chapter in the lives of two people closed after years of heartfelt pain… unexplained and unresolved because of time, distance, and circumstance.
Finally, it will heal.
Now, it is the time for everybody to move on…
