surprise, surprise...

Carol gave me her gift just this night after the enrolment, well, I already knew that she was gonna give it to me anyway. But clearly, the surprise wasn’t totally off. I just thought she had Holy Fools in store for me, but when I ripped open the wrapper, I saw another thing… The Autumn of the Patriarch by Gabriel Garcia Marquez. It’s just the ULTIMATE… EL MEJOR... EL GRANDE... Garcia Marquez… God...

Now I couldn’t decide which to read first... but definitely, I’ll read them both before the break’s over in less than two weeks.

The enrolment went smoothly (well, far better than it used to). Poor freshmen, apparently, they have been there since the early afternoon or something. But it seems that the glitches will never depart from the system. The inefficiency is so mind-boggling, that never had I experienced in my six years in UST such slow, ineffective, unorganized bunch of people staffing the enrolment proceedings. They said that it wasn’t like that when Justice Lantin was the dean.

I’ve treated the V-Gang to dinner at The Pit just after the enrolment. It’s quite nice to dine together without the onus of study loads, which control your time. Dinner was leisurely. :P
