Grandpa's 79th birthday

It's a cold and rainy monday, but the celebrations in the house today made it warm and cozy. My granddad turned 79 years old today. I decided to relieve myself from reading, and take time to prep up and play host to visitors.

It is traditional in our home that we invite old church ladies to conduct prayers during my granddad's birthday, some sort of annual dedication and thanksgiving.

Come dinner time the whole 'cognatic' family arrives. Cognatic, since they are all Bernardos, but none of whom carries with them the grand surname, since they are all descendants of female predecessors. We're the only remaining full-blooded Bernardo's in this side of town. (most of them are either in Valenzuela or in the Novaliches.)

I really pigged out today, 'coz every time I pass along the table, I can't help but munch on the crispy lechon skin, plus my favorite 'tinumis' is on the table fare.

I went home today around past 4am. I had a binge drinking session with my hommies at Kaye's and Kuya Larry's crib. For the record, I've consumed four 500ml Colt45's. Therefore, I had a very evil hangover, which prevented me from performing any volitional mental activity.
