Last night's storm brought the best in people. Never have I seen such outpouring of generosity, altruism, charity and all, in such a long while. In times like these, you see the human spirit at work. It's just beautiful. We should all do our part to help our countrymen, whether through prayer or through corporal acts. Personally, I believe that when the storm hit last night, everybody said their prayers... and thankfully, the storm didn't howled that much. Nothing short of a miracle.

Just a few days before the fiesta begins here in Malabon (December 8, 9 and 10), not that I'm excited, but it's just the feel of the 'old town' that I miss. Again... it's the people, the human spirit. Traditions are not worth reviving or reliving if their are no people who would treasure it.
I'm just so obsessed with this idea. The Human Spirit. Both collective and individual. I really don't know. Maybe it's because people interest me. Real people. Living people. (or dead people with written or oral histories). Or maybe this is the meaning of life... Animal life or Existence is vegetative, somatic. But Life itself is about being human.
Maybe to achieve happiness, we don't need to become saints. Maybe we just need to be human... isn't it the purpose of our existence? Realizing, and becoming what we really are? We strove too much since time immemorial to become gods. But what if the inner god was in us all along...
