how i spent valentine's

yesterday was the fucking longest, most tiring day that I've ever had since the examinations week.imagine us walking from malacanang's mendiola gate, getting lost a bit (no thanks to some PSG sekyus) just to get to the Women's Commission Office, in the middle of the burning day, just to get some research material for a damn two unit subject.

(btw, we saw mar roxas walking out of the Main Palace Grounds)
the people in NCFRW are very accomodating, since we got lost, we arrived there around lunchtime.but still, they had an assigned officer for the day who would entertain visitors. We interviewed Ms. Bernadette Braqueza (she's kinda pretty. hehehe.) She's very accomodating indeed.we got a lot of information from her (except her phone number.) You know what, she kinda looks like Tim's Kaye.
after the very tiring and hunger inducing walk around malacanang (trust me, our mileage could have brought us to SM Manila in no time),we decided to go back and find some McDonald's, since lot was craving for it for last few days.walking along Azcarraga (Recto, ok.) We chanced upon Paky. a Former Thomasian Law student turn UE Law Student (for reasons that most of us dread to happen)SO she joined us for lunch at McDonald's, and had a nice chit-chat.After lunch, we walked back again to DSWD NCR Office, where the damn people wouldn't grant us even a meager interview, or even brochures about the DSWD programs for Youth and Women. I mean, come on?! Sana binara namin sila about the Right to access to public documents, right to public information, blahblah. They referred us to their women's division (in Paco!!!) where there are more requirements necessary (believe me... not that we were being snobby law students who most of the time get preferential treatment... but because, I personally got access two years ago in DBM, without any glitch or letter requirement... they even gave us a VCD presentation, for free, of the 2002 budget) Why is the damn beaurocracy like that?!!! That was ok, i mean, but what happened to the courtesy, efficiency, blahblah that we we're all studying about in our administrative law.It all looks so good in paper (well, so far as ASG Agpalo says it is) But in reality, the Civil Service people really sucks. Sana pala sinama namin si Rollie at ginamit namin ang pangalan ng Ombudsman ng masindak ang mga lecheng asungot!
So, that trip to DSWD was less fruitful than our venture to NCFRW.
It was hot. The traffic was heavy. CJ, Lon and I are dehydrated and have no more energy left to study for our classes in the evening. We were already in front of SM Manila, and so, we induced kuya lon to cut classes. 'coz definitely, CJ and I wanted to reward ourselves by watching a movie. But to no avail. ewan ko ba, ang hirap I-B.I. ni kuya lon.
kadiri ang feeling. For people like us who spent the whole day inside airconditioned places and never leaving our comfort zones.... kadiri ang feeling ng pawis, at naglalakad sa ilalim ng araw, habang kame eh nakasuot ng barong, at me bitbit na mga libro. Ayus lang magpawis... kung nakapam-P.E. kame o kaya naka casual. Pero hinde!
Buti na lang at hindi ako tinawag ng ni isang prof ko for recitation (lalo na si Atty. Bolivar, dahil wala talaga akong sasabihin.)

Heard of the latest? Lauron, the freak from Ateneo, ang kapal ng mukhang mag-audition ng MTV VJ HUNT!!! eh sa itsura niyang yun tapos yung itsura ng mga finalists? eh mukha siyang aliping sagigilid! Iba talaga takbo ng utak niya. Sino ba naman mag-au-audition ng nakasuot ng school uniform (naka-barong) sa MTv?!!! tapos 'famous' na daw siya because he was shown on camera... in PASSING. ok, i admire yung kakapalan ng mukha niya. pero ulul nya! wala siyang mukha na ipagmamalaki.
You've probably be wondering why I hate him, nay, abhore him so much. Hindi ko siya inaapi. Pero it's just righteous on our part to do so. Pangit na nga siya, pangit pa ugali. Yun na yun. Atenista daw, pero wala namang breeding. Di bale na kung autistic talaga siya eh. kaso hinde. Pangit lang talaga ugali niya.

Last night was the Grammy's. Haven't watched the first part though, 'coz I really wanted to see the band Franz Ferdinand perform. This year's grammy was mostly a tribute to the late Ray Charles. Most of the bands there who performed are some of my faves this year... the Killers, Velvet Revolver, Franz Ferdinand, well, Maroon5, but I'm not much a fan of their music style.
