videoke night and hospital visit

last night i went to gilligan's and had dinner in celebration of ariel's birthday. only kae wasn't there... and so far, discussions went far and wide (with alot of evidence to support our theory) about her whereabouts.

a funny incident occured on my way there. i caught a taxi along p. noval gate, and, if it was not fate... i don't know what... (coincidence of inebriation maybe). my cab stopped by to fill up at the caltex station along nagtahan. and i saw that familiar van with the WJU 424 plate number with the UST sticker at the back. i texted jl, 'coz i thought he was already in makati with kitten, and i assumed it was CJ or Sunshine on the van. it was apparently him, he stopped there to puke at the C.R. after a morning drinking session. (galing no!). Anyway, i just told him we'd meet up there at glorietta, but, again, because of the traffic i saw the van again. so we decided to make a 'pit stop' and rendezvous at CRS Tower along quirino.

it was quite a while since the club d was completed... well, almost, with the exception of KAE. who seemed to be quite fond of baby hogs right now.

afterwards, we went to music21 jupiter and sang alot... drank less. i had to leave by 11pm 'coz i have classes today (8am) and jl and kitten had to go their way back to laguna anyways.

this morning however, was quite different. in lieu of our social legislation class, we held a PRAYER BREAKFAST, (courtesy of Mr. Rey Dandan) It was quite unique I should say, something quite different. instead of holding our x'mas party for usec. jimenez, we had that instead. it's nice to do something different once in a while.

later that morning. we heard the news that judge aguinaldo was hospitalized. we've been planning to hold his x'mas party on tuesday, but because of recent events... to wit: (1) the Mr. and Ms. Law Personality would be held around 7pm that tuesday and (2) Judge Philip was, according to my reliable source from the Suprema Lex Fraternity... (ok fine, si George Michael lang yun... a.k.a... Vargas or Vargie.) taking the next week off. He was diagnosed as having suffered from high blood, coupled with diabetic attack (as if its an aggravating circumstance... hahaha.... lawyer's joke.)

so allan and i went to trabajo market... (on foot... from dapitan!) to buy him a fruit basket. we returned to school and were maybe just 10 minutes late for judge herrera's class. we left the basket at the dean's office, but by four pm, morgan (one of judge's proteges) informed us that judge philip was still in the hospital, so we decided to take it personally to him. luckily, he just descended from the stairwell as we were about to ascend. he was with some more proteges and atty. chua (one of our law professors in AB). close pala sila ni judge.

it seemed that alot of law peepz have already visited him in the hospital, since the hospital guards already know where to direct law students. funny... kahit ganun si judge aguinaldo, ngayon ko lang na-realize ang dami pa lang nagmamahal sa kanyang mga estudyante... he's not actually a 'terrorist' professor. he's just stern, very impartial (daw?!), but honestly, kahit marami siyang binagsak, it's not (as it seems to me) coupled with malice or malicious intent whatsoever. maybe he just really wants us to learn the hardway... the real way.

just a few days to go (actually two more days of friggin' regular studying.) before the break starts. on wednesday, it will be the professors' x'mas party, then on the 16th will be the paskuhan. we'd be out by then to LB... class outing daw, pero mukhang kaunti pa rin kame. but at any rate, kahit kaunti lang, ituloy na ang ligaya! it's not quite often that law students get together in a place other than the Library.
