Birthday Schmirthday

I am now officially 24 years old. But by my reckoning I am still 21. I stopped counting three years ago.

Anyhow, I had a great deal of fun last night. Me, Kaye, Sunny and Dencio went to the Powerplant to watch THE LEGEND OF ZORRO. Afterwards, around 11:30pm we then went to The Fort and had dinner at Café Puccini. All sorts of fancy and fanciful people were there… people in Halloween costumes, even though I believe there was no Halloween party at the Strip. Ladies dressed up as angels. Men dressed up as ladies. Note however, that what we saw are not gay. (or so it seems) It was more of a William Wallace skirt/kilt gothic thing. We also saw the Mulawin guy (Richard Gutierrez) with a girl na I don’t know if she’s an artista, but strikingly a model by height and looks. Mulawin guy looks gay to me though.

Afterwards, we had coffee at Starbucks at the nearby gas station. We then returned back to Malabon and around 3am we started drinking our patented cruiser sprite vodka drink. At dahil si Sunny at Dencio ay feeling bitin at matapang pa ang mukha, ay bumili pa ng Gilbey’s gin, dahil hindi pa natuwa sa 1 litrong vodka. I puked twice that night. But it was good for me, at least hindi ako tumumba tulad nung dalawang nagtatapang-tapangan. Hahaha! I went home around 8am, while I left the two drunken men to sleep at Kaye’s place. They left around two pm, according to them. That night was a record breaker ‘coz I haven’t seen them in that sorry state before.

Though, I left my fave F&H jacket at Kaye’s place. Me bad. Me forget. Me drunk.

What I enjoyed too was the cruising around the metro in Den’s Mazda Pick-up. We were listening to old songs from Parokya, Eheads, Yano, Color it Redd. I really enjoyed what we did last night.

Had a great time today. Tomorrow I’ll be off to perform the annual ritual of the birthday splurge.

toilet humor (warning: a bit sensitive)

yesterday morning (as in morning! around 7am) I went to St. Jude again to pray, especially for my grades in Wills and Succession, the security was tighter in Malacañang than it used to. The PSG were in camouflage uniform instead of the usual white one, and they opened the big gate for ingress, and the side gate was used only for egress. Even cars were not allowed to park inside the church yard.

After the Mass, I went to the comfort room to relieve myself. There were only two urinals there, one high enough for adults, and the other one is lower for the kids. I couldn't use the kid's urinal 'coz I thought it was too low. So, I stood behind this guy using the other one. But alas, several people have come and gone and used the kiddie potty. And they were looking at this other guy who stood there for a long time at the adult potty. I kinda thought he might had some peeing problem 'coz he was so matagal, and then subsequently I thought he was playing with his thing while peeing...and by 'playing', I did not mean jerking off... kids (or sometimes immature men) have this tendency to "swirl", "draw", "or "write" something imaginary with their pee. So I thought that guy infront of me was doing that.

But alas, algae, fungi and moss already grew on me because of boredom. And all the cubicles were either occupied by shitting people, or by resident shit themselves (think: yellow submarine song). So I decided to use the kiddie potty lest I rot in the smelly CR. Before me, this other guy, a traffic aid used the kiddie potty, and he looked at the face of the guy "playing" with his pee. I saw in his facial expression some sort of surprise. When it was my turn, I looked at the guy, and guess what...

he was SLEEPING, while STANDING UP... FEIGNING the Act of PEEING. His fly wasn't even open.

So that explains the "swirly" action.

When I came out the traffic aid was amused and smiling. He said to me: "Lasing yata yun eh." "Natutulog yata sa loob."I replied.

Not long thereafter, the swirly guy came out and pupungas-pungas pa ang mata while walking the drunken man's step, which anyone could recognize.

Yup, I think the traffic aid was right. Lasing nga siguro.

At napakaganda ng tulugan niya... Public Toilet habang nakatayo at kunwa-kunwariang umiihi.

We we're suppose to enroll yesterday, but alas, with the damn impotence of people at the Dean's Office, we had to wait several hours before they announce that our grades are still incomplete, at least, for the classes handled by Atty. Kasala in Tax.

I almost cried when I got my final exam in Wills and Succession --- 67. Damn! I need a miracle really. It's so not cool. My mind has already began to do the what if's. And I don't know whether or not i'll still be a regular student, or rather, would I have to re-take wills next year, thus, probably ending my dream of finishing law school in four years. But what pleased me is the result of my Public International Law and Evidence exams. 94 and 85 respectively. I was really surprised with the latter though, since it was a four unit subject, and for heaven's sake... it's REMEDIAL LAW! The Rules of Court is one of the most difficult bar subjects.

I just hope Atty. Gonzales gives me at least a 3.0 in my final grade, para kahit paano, sana mahatak na nung ibang subjects yung QPI ko.

To prolong the agony, our enrolment is moved to November 3. Damn Sweet. Grrr....

Now, it's time to flood heaven and earth with prayers again.

I took Carol out for lunch yesterday at Heaven n' eggs before we went to UST to enrol in frustration (or is it attempted?). I picked her up at Marketplace in Kalentong and just about 30 minutes or so, we were already in Makati. She had the Tapa Angus thingy, which reminded me of our ostrich steak, but was great. Then I had the Country Fried Steak, which doesn't taste like beef at all, but was sumptious at any rate. She loved the place, 'coz it's too girly. hahaha! I felt like I didn't quite blend in, 'coz I was wearing the black UST Law shirt, and my shiny false leather-looking F&H jacket, and I am currently sporting a goatee... I felt so misplaced, or at least, I didn't blend in. Well, I prefer that over the last time, when me, Jl, and anya all wore blue that we would be camouflaged if we stand in front of the wall. hehehe. just kidding. :p

We had a great time yesterday. It's been quite a while since we did something together. Just the two of us. I never felt so in love...

Fun time

I was suppose to blog Sunday night, but alas, sloth got the best of me. (Besides, it’s my vacation, and blogging is not obligatory)

Did met up with my college best friends during the Thursday to Sunday binge sessions at Jl’s place. First, I met up with Ariel, Jl and Kitten at Glorietta Thursday night, and of course, the usual course of the night took place. Friday, we went back to Makati and met up with Anya for lunch. (For more details please see her blog.)

Before that, we arrived around 10:30am on Friday. The mall is still creepy empty. So we decided to have some coffee at Starbucks at G4. I kinda missed the place, since this was our usual hang-out during college and the earlier years after graduation. It was empty, aside from a few call center people (which I presumed to be because of the eye bags, the somewhat thrasher get-up [though not all] and nocturnal aura in them). I remembered we had a major fight here. The famous line of mine: “YOU OWE ME AN EXPLANATION.” (or something to that effect) Hahaha! Anyways, bygones.

Met up with Anya and we haven’t decided yet where to lunch. So, as per request, we ate at heaven n’ eggs. Sorta rekindled my food adventurism years before. We would usually try out all sorts of restaurants… that was the time when we still lived the opulent lifestyle and we met up almost every week. It was a bit pricey, but it was worth it ‘coz of the giant servings and the yummy pancakes. A good date place I should say.

After smokes, we walked around the mall and waited for Martin the Martian to arrive. The darn asswipe never changed. Prince of Ignominy of all sorts. But hey, it’s better than listening to him preach the gospel or what not.

Anya returned to the office with her officemates, while we went our way to buy pulutan at Rustan’s (sosi! Hehe). My world famous nachos of course. Then off we went back to Biñan.

Things we did…

Well, first off, we played tennis (idiot tennis, that is). Todo get-up ako this time… hehehe. Wearing my black Nautica semi-spikes rubber shoes (pang-cross training at hard-ground soccer, but I just use it every time I leave, pamporma), my blue adidas shirt, and the Gap ballcap, nag-feeling Roger Federer, Roby Ginepri at Lleyton Hewitt ako. Hahaha!

After that, drinking session again, with videoke. Lahat ng senti music ng 2001-2003 etc. Pati na rin mga awiting pang-manginginom sa kanto inawit na, pati na rin ang Lupang Hinirang. Jeez!

We also had a great time watching DVD movies. My favorite one is SAW, a really nice psycho-thriller, mala-Hannibal Lectern ang dating nung villain. But worse. It was really sick to the bone. Literally.

Three nights drinking, we had to stop, not because we are concern with our livers, but because we had to get back to our own lives and settle our work. (well, vacation that is for me)

Too bad Tim wasn’t there. He’s the kupz that we miss the most.

Monday… I had a movie marathon of all sorts. So lame. House of Wax, Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, and Sahara. The only one worth watching was Phantom of the Opera. The girl that played Kristin Daae was purrty. Hehe.

Now, I intend to stay home, read LADY OF AVALON and finish it today or tomorrow. (It’s lawyer’s habit. Speed Reading. Hehehe). And thank God, we’re liquid enough to get me to school this semester.

By the way, I got bitten by a stray cat that made an unlawful entry into our house last Tuesday. It was about six months, so, still a medium size one. Tame as it may seem, and I didn’t want to play hide and seek with it. I grabbed it by the neck. I assumed it was like Fiona, but no, it wasn’t. It bit me by the index finger. I dropped it and let my finger bled at the sink. What do call that… IMPRUDENCE. Hahaha! I had my shots done at San Lazaro Hospital where my tita works. Since the cat died (it was mauled to death by Ace, the Dalmatian, so both of us gotten shots) we got nothing to observe, aside from the vaccine, I got the serum… two giant syringes down at my back thighs (I’m afraid to say ‘ass’. Hahaha!) Six shots all in all. Two intramuscular shots at the arms, and two intradermal allergy tests in my forearms. Tomorrow, I get my second shot. Prevention is worth a pound of cure. I have no intentions of being rabid, much less transforming into a were-cat. (Though the latter would be cool. Hehehe)

La vie

Sitting in front of my computer, newly showered, with a cold glass of beer at my side, ashtray, cigarettes and lighter. This is how I officially begin the semestral break.

Sunday morning, already in my walking shorts and polo shirt, with the ballcap Lou gave to me, I was about to go to church, but then my dad told me that my Lola slipped and fell at her doorstep and hit her head, lower right parietal bone (pardon me, but I already forgot my legal medicine, I do not even know if that is correct… in other words, lower right ng skull just above the nape), causing hematoma with minor lacerations (bukol na mejo nagdugo). I was so shocked upon hearing this. When I came down, good thing she was conscious, but it was hurting. My dad rushed her to the Manila Medical Center, then my brother followed suit. He sustained an absence at work yesterday, because I still have my final exams in Wills.

So the whole Sunday I wasn’t able to study that well, thinking of what happened to my grandma. By the way, my grandfather also slipped at his bathroom and was also rushed to the hospital almost five months ago. So last night, after the final exams, I had to forgo drinking with my classmates to be at my lola’s side. My brother already got to go back to work the next day. I just went home to have a change of clothes, then at the hospital, I was already too tired, that I went to sleep (hardly) around 10pm. Then I woke up around 5am. Though, in the intermittent, I was topsy-turvy. Good thing she was discharged this afternoon. Now, I’m sitting here and doing this.

Still planning on going to Baclaran Church tomorrow… Praying for a Miracle to happen in our lives. And in my academic life.

Our barkada rendezvous is moved to Friday to Sunday. Still Good.

Time to have a break from school work. Watch soccer, tennis, formula one, catch up on my reading (of fictional books of course) and watch the movies I didn’t have the chance to watch for the past semester.

one last exam to go, in Wills and Succession, and i'm officially a bakasiyonista. planning to crash for four days at Jl's place in biñan and have a drinking binge, play tennis or billiards or shoot some hoops, and watch alot of porn... i mean, dvd movies. :P need to distress and catch up with my college bestfriends. so basically the plan is like this.

October 17 - final exams in wills and succession. either go home and be comatosed for the next 24 hours, or delay the comatose part and drink with my classmates and despair about the subsequent results.

October 18 - spend the day home and rest. I promised my grandpa to make him tacos.

October 19 - Baclaran Day.

October 20 - St. Jude day. Go to St. Jude Church in Malacañang in the morning. Then if the plan goes as it is, to Makati by afternoon to meet up with Jl, Anya and Ariel for dinner. Martin wouldn't be showing up for still unknown reasons. Later that night, the binge drinking starts. Just us three guys. Anya can't go 'coz she still has work and other responsibilities.

October 22 - Hopefully, Tim will follow soon at the farm.

October 23 - Go Home.

October 26 - Enrolment. Less than 10 days, and school tremors begin again.

October 29 - Subject to the suspensive condition that I would have money from kickbacks from my tuition, I'd go out with Dencio, Kaye and Sanot.

October 30 - My Birthday. No particular eventuality. Surprise my dear Fate. :P

October 31 - Go to Chinatown. Buy joss sticks and look for dragonfruit. Yummy.

On the exams.

Evidence - hoping to pass. I need to pass. It's a four unit subject. Cranial hemmorrhage begins.

Public International Law - Uhm, fairly easy. Well, kasi kinarir ko. Nabwiset ako kay Atty. Sandoval eh.

Legal Counselling - isang malaking pambobola sa subject na ito. Trust me. What's important here is how to collect your fees and other secrets of the trade. I cannot disclose it. If you knew it, i'd have to kill you. Anemia sets in.

Tax - Ok, during the exams in PIL, the prelim results in tax came in. 89, my victory for the semester. Assuming all evidence have been discovered, I was the highest in all of Atty. Kasala's Classes. Ferry now calls me "Commissioner." Siya naman tawag ko eh "Justice"... tama ba namang 90 sa evidence... eh ako 77 lang. But during the exams, she called up several of us and transferred us to the other class and vice-versa. She arranged us altogether so that no cheating ensued. She placed me between two girls. Ajay and Joann. All of my ex-blockmates in 3C mustered to suppress a smile. Hahaha! Napakagandang tadhana kaya nun. Kopyahan to the max kameng tatlo. Buti na lang she was ignorant of the fact. After the exams, Epileptic seizures begin.

Special Commercial Laws - Nothing was entering my brain. Speed reading na nga lang ginagawa namin. But thank the gods, the samplex came in with answers. And guess what, the exams were the same. Hallelujah!

Insurance - I should have insured myself against failure, if it didn't contemplate wagering of somesort, knowing that such is void altogether. The exam situations had the following names ... Fernando, Alonso, Felipe Massa, Sauber Corp. When I submitted my papers to Atty. Tayag, I asked him if he was a fan of Formula 1, oo daw. Sabi ko ako rin... alam ko binobola lang niya ko nung sinabi niya na "Pano ba yan? Me plus points ka na kasi fan ka rin pala." Yeah, right, as if you'd give it. I know we are such a rare breed. But you still are cheap. My prelim results was 76.

Wills - Well, this one I got to pass. Ang baligtarang prelim grade ko na 69 eh kelangang maingat. Buti na lang maganda class standing ko. Anyhow, I hope familiarity will do it's work. Atty. Gonzales knows my capabilities.


Further on... I saw Geng at school. But I didn't have time to talk to her sapagkat warla na kameng lahat.

1. The Lady of Avalon - I got this from NSB in SM San Lazaro. Somehow of the Arthurian genre, but focuses more on the Ancient Mysteries. If you have been an avid fan of Heresy, or barely read the Da Vinci Code, you'd appreciate it. Planning to read it this break. Actual price. Php 100.00 (from the previously owned books section)

2. BECKHAM MY WORLD - autobiography of David Beckham, a must read. Php. 250.00, POB section too.

3. Manchester United Timeliner - sorta pop-up calendar of sorts of my favorite English team. Php. 100.00 from POB section too.

Now, for the more expensive buys:

1. The charcoal black jacket from folded and hung - Yeah baby! The first time I wore it to school, everybody was in awe. (Ok, I'm exagerating, but definitely alot loved it.) At first, it looks like a leather jacket from an unknown specie of animal that has a shimmery black hide. I call it false leather. I just love it. Ang angas ng porma. Php. 1,599.00 Not bad... not bad.

2. Christian Dior Dune - My fave eau de toillette (toilet water?!) is almost extinct. I went to Rob Place to buy one, but the clerk said it was going out of the Philippine market. Baket?! Ang bango kaya nun... then I remembered, I saw one at the Rosas Arcade, the small Foreign goods stall under the stairs. So glad it was still there. 50ml costs Php. 2,000.00 I remember seeing another one at Eastwood Mall. I must HOARD! HOARD! HOARD!

3. Armitron Diamond Watch - ok, this is not a recent buy, it was a gift from my tita from the US. Definitely an American brand (warranty even applies only in the State of California). But hell, it was hot! Heavy steel, black minimalist face with a diamond dial... fits my personality well. Smooth... very smooth.
