funeral of the century

i've been watching on tv john paul II's funeral rites. i can only describe it in one word: amazing. such a beautiful execution of western and eastern traditions, the cries of the people, the applause. it was just wonderful.

it was the moment of humankind... the common men and women, the world players, religious leaders of all faiths --- muslims, orthodox christians, buddhists, sikhs, hindus, anglicans. It was just beautiful. John Paul, being an actor, just made his greatest and last performance of his life. He truly deserves the title "Magnus"

i met up with mitch at yellow cab last thursday after i went to st. jude. it has been more than a year since we last saw each other. talk about pigging out... i pigged out on the pizza since i haven't had breakfast and i jogged that morning. also went to baclaran with jo and tere that wednesday. (talk about lawschool religious fervour!) it was the first time i saw baclaran so full of people. we then went to the 'tiangge' afterwards. hayun, i've discovered where to buy those cheap and somehow qualified imitation shoes. (nice And1's there!)

the club was planning on a get together this saturday, but alas, people's schedules couldn't really meet up with each other's availability. now, i'm wondering what to do for the rest of the weekend.
